Merry Christmas

One week before Christmas we went to the Davis Christmas party in Pocatello. Everyone met at for a couple of hours at this place that had trampolines, a bounce house and a big foam pit. Afterwards we met everyone at a Chinese restaurant. It was good to see everyone and the kids had a lot of fun.

Christmas itself was pretty low key this year. Jake was on-call for work Christmas week so we just stayed home and had a good relaxing Christmas. Thankfully Jake didn't get called into work, so we all spent the day playing with the fun stuff that good ole' Santa brought and then my parents and Blake and Angie came over for a few hours for a Christmas Dinner.

Winter Wonderland

The kids have had fun the past few days playing in all of the snow. The plow trucks left behind a snow mound by our house that the kids enjoy playing on.

Thanksgiving

We were able to spend about five days in Utah for Thanksgiving this year. All of Jake's siblings and their families were able to be there. It was a full house for the Thanksgiving dinner at Jake's parents house in Springville. It was so fun to see everyone, eat delicious food and get a much needed family picture taken. Grandpa and Grandma even arranged to have a bounce house in their yard for the grandkids(and adults).

It's a Boy!

We are so excited to be expecting a baby in April and even more excited that we will be having a boy! The kids were excited when we told them, especially Tyler. The night before my ultrasound was scheduled we had tucked the kids into bed, then after about an hour Tyler came down with a list of about 30 boy names for us to choose from. He had went through his yearbook and picked out some names. That really put the pressure on, it was fun to tell him the next day, after school, that he would be having a brother. Brooke's first reaction was a bit of disappointment. She said that boy's were mean and I told her that she would just have to help teach him how to be nice. She really liked that idea. I can tell that she is going to be a lot of help. Kennady doesn't quite know what is going on, I think she will understand more the closer my due date gets. Hopefully she will adjust well to not being the baby of the family anymore....we will see!!!

Halloween

Carving pumpkins
Kennady and I went to see Tyler and Brooke at school on Friday to join them on their trick or treat parade through town. The whole school paraded down main street while all of the local businesses would stand outside their stores ready to had out candy.
Friday, after the kids got out of school we went to Idaho to spend some time with my family. My mom had these wax lips and fangs ready for the grandkids which they thought was pretty fun. We went to my parents' wards Halloween Trunk or Treat/Carnival and then went trick or treating to a few houses afterwards. We had a fun weekend and as usual came home with way too much candy.

The kids all ready to go!
I love my little clone trooper, snow princess and minnie mouse!
Valerie and her cute family at the ward party.
Stefanie's cute family. My nephew, Marcus, has half of his costume on. He's not the hulk without at least some green on him.

Tyler turns nine!

We celebrated Tyler's ninth birthday yesterday by going bowling at the new bowling alley here in Afton. He was excited to invite our neighbor to go with us and they had a lot of fun bowling, eating pizza, and playing arcade games. Jake and I can't believe that we are old enough to have a nine year old! Time flies!!

Camping

We went camping with most of Jake's family over Labor Day weekend at a campground near Fairview, Utah. There was a lot of ATV/motorcycle trails that we spent a lot of our time on, every night we had some awesome dutch oven cooking for dinner and the cousins had a lot of fun playing in huts/forts and going down to the lake. Tyler and Brooke even rode a 50 motorcycle all by themselves after help from Uncle Phil. We were exhausted when we got home but it was worth it.

Random Summer Pictures

Tyler at Cottonwood Lake

Kennady being very brave and holding this snake we found at Cottonwood Lake. (Right after this picture she threw down the snake and started crying! She must have realized what she had done after I took the picture.)

Brooke found this cute cowboy hat and I had to at least take a picture. Who knew cowboy hats could be so expensive!
