Cookies

Kennady and Zach "helped" me make cookies on Sunday after church. It seems like in the past I have always taken pictures of my kiddios licking the cookie dough off. So cute!!

Gymnastics

Brooke and Kennady have been taking gymnastic lessons at Star Gymnastics since the school year started. They have both really enjoyed it and are catching on pretty quick. They have lessons once a week for one hour, where they get to practice on bars, beam, floor and vault.

Last weekend they had their very first gymnastic performance at the high school. They were both so brave and did a great job. It was so fun to watch them. I think they might have been more excited to get all "dolled" up, than they were to perform. I love my "girly" girls!

Easter

On Saturday we celebrated Zach's birthday, went to lunch at Pizza Hut with Grandma and Grandpa Tanner and had our traditional Easter Treasure Hunt. It is always so fun to watch the kids try to figure out their clues and find their "treasures".
Anxiously waiting to get started
One of Zach's clues lead him to some new sunglasses!
One of Tyler's clues lead him to a new bike helmet.
Brooke found some flower slippers
Kennady found a chocolate bunny in the dryer!

On Sunday we went to church and Jake talked in Sacrament meeting on the Atonement. He had worked on his talk, off and on, for a couple of weeks and he did an amazing job. After church we had an Easter dinner of ham, cheesy potatoes, rolls and had to throw some veggies in there too. HaHa! After cleaning up dinner we colored some Easter eggs. It was a great day!

Zach turns two!

I can't believe our little Zachy-man is two years old. Zach's birthday was on Saturday this year, the day before Easter Sunday. We started out the day by opening birthday presents. Grandma Jeri sent a cute animal magnetic board along with a very special present- a jacket that was worn by Jake when he was two years old. It is a too big for Zach now but I am planning to get a picture of him in it when it fits a little bit better. Grandma and Grandpa Tanner came to see Zach for a quick birthday visit and treated all of us to a yummy lunch at Pizza Hut.

We got him a set of John Deere trucks and tractors. It was so fun watching Zach play with them, at one point he had been making truck sounds for so long that he was drooling.

Jake took Zach on a motorcycle ride which to be honest was probably the high light of his day! He can't get enough of motorcycle and 4-wheeler rides. Like father-like son!
After Zach's nap, we had our traditional Easter Treasure Hunt complete with clues for everyone. Jake helped Zach with his clues while I ran around taking pictures of everyone discovering their "treasures".

We made Zach a bunny birthday cake that said "Hoppy" Birthday on it. Zach LOVED blowing out the candles on his cake, we re-lit the candles a few times just so he could blow them out over and over again. I wish I would have captured his expressions better when he was blowing them out. Cute!!

Cake and ice cream=one happy two year old!

Zach surprises me that he is bothered by messy hands. This is him trying to get my attention to wash his hands.
Zach is definitely a hand full but he brings so much joy to our family. We can't wait to see what cute and funny things he treats us with through the year! We love you, Zachy!

Young's come to visit

My sister, Valerie, and her family came to stay with us during spring break for a couple of days. Even though it was windy and kind of cold we made the best of it and took the kids to the park while Jake, Tyler, Max and Jarred went shooting. The cousins had a lot of fun just hanging out and being together.
