Bear World

Tyler and Jake weren't the only ones to sight bears and elk this fall.  I was able to go to Bear World with Kennady's first grade class for a field trip.

Here we are on the long bus ride to Rigby.  The kids were well behaved, I was just uncomfortable because my pregnant belly took up most of the room on the seat.  It was well worth the ride to be able to spend some one on one time with Kennady!

What a cute little cub!!

One of Kennady's favorite things to do was feed the fish and ducks.

Kennady was hesitate at first in the petting zoo but warmed up fast to the idea of being able to pet the deer and feed the goats.

This was Kennady's favorite ride, and the train. (the least scary ones)

Hunting Season

Jake, Tyler and Uncle Danny did a lot of hunting this fall.  Tyler passed his Hunter Safety class and he turned twelve years old just in time for hunting season and to get his own deer tag.  Unfortunately he was unable to get steady enough with his rifle to get a good shot at one this year but something tells me he will have plenty of chances next year.  Jake also had a deer tag and an elk tag.  After tons of hours on the mountains Jake and Danny were able to get an awesome buck and a cow elk. We gave our deer meat to our Bishop and kept and processed the elk meat.  During hunting season it is hard to have Jake go out almost every free moment he has but I know how much they love and enjoy it,  and I must admit I really do love all of the meat we have in our freezer now.  So it's worth it!

Tyler all camo-ed up!
What's so funny "T"?
Black bear sighting.  This is really zoomed in- thank goodness!!

This is the buck they got up on the South End, Lander Creek area.
It measured 192 and 5/8 gross, unofficial.  In other words, it was a pretty big one!

Happy Birthday Tyler!

How is it possible that I have a twelve year old?! Since Tyler's birthday was on a school day this year I let him take a couple of his friends to a movie on Saturday. Then they came back to our house and played for a couple of hours.  Tyler was so excited to be able to graduate from the primary program and enter young mens. Tyler was also ordained a deacon and he was lucky to be able to have both sets of his grandparents be there for that special moment in his life.  I am so proud of him and the good boy, I should say "young man" that he is.

School Starts

Our summer fun came to an end when school started after Labor Day this year, we were all excited and ready for school to start. Tyler starts 6th grade this year and has Mr. Greenwood for a teacher, Brooke will be in 4th grade this year and has Mrs. Jensen for a teacher and Kennady is in 1st Grade and has Mrs. Bagley for a teacher.  All of them got really good teachers this year, Mrs. Jensen and Mrs. Bagley are in our ward.

Cute Kiddios

We did a lot of fun activities this summer, too many for good ol' mom to keep up with on the blog, so here is a summary.
We went camping in our trailer a couple of times
We had fun playing around at the park

The next four pictures are of the kids playing with Max, Mya and Sadie at Rigby Lake.

This was so funny! I guess Zach got board with dumping rocks and decided to dig into Polly's dog food instead. There were piles all over the driveway and he was having so much fun I just couldn't get upset at him.

Zach playing around with one of his cousin Cooper's hat.

We love having the new bowling alley and movie theater in town. We went to quite a few of the free saturday matinees and also took advantage of the one free bowling a day pass for school age kids.
Zach posing on Uncle Phil and Aunt Cari's motorcyle.  We had fun having them come visit for a weekend. Uncle Andy and cousin Cambrie were even able to make the long drive.

Just a cute picture of Zach. He loves hats.
Kennady insisted on posing outside the local bookstore on main street!
How could I resist this cutie!

Waiting for the ceremony to begin.  What a bunch of beautiful girls!
Can't leave out the handsome boys! Max was the ring bearer.
Angie and Skylar's announcement turned out so cute!

Fun on the Farm

In the spring Grandma got two calves to take care of.  We love being able to take turns bottle feeding them whenever we visit.

Waiting for a turn to feed the calves grain.  Look how much they have grown!!
Grandpa's farming equipment all lined up to get ready for harvest was quite the sight for Zach.  He would have spent all day there if I would have let him.

Thanks Grandma for taking the kiddios on a tractor ride!! They loved every second!
