Hunting Season

Jake, Tyler and Uncle Danny did a lot of hunting this fall.  Tyler passed his Hunter Safety class and he turned twelve years old just in time for hunting season and to get his own deer tag.  Unfortunately he was unable to get steady enough with his rifle to get a good shot at one this year but something tells me he will have plenty of chances next year.  Jake also had a deer tag and an elk tag.  After tons of hours on the mountains Jake and Danny were able to get an awesome buck and a cow elk. We gave our deer meat to our Bishop and kept and processed the elk meat.  During hunting season it is hard to have Jake go out almost every free moment he has but I know how much they love and enjoy it,  and I must admit I really do love all of the meat we have in our freezer now.  So it's worth it!

Tyler all camo-ed up!
What's so funny "T"?
Black bear sighting.  This is really zoomed in- thank goodness!!

This is the buck they got up on the South End, Lander Creek area.
It measured 192 and 5/8 gross, unofficial.  In other words, it was a pretty big one!
