Good bye Aunt Linda

My dear Aunt Linda Davis passed away on March 2, 2014. She had battled lung cancer for about 6 months before she passed away at age 61. She will be missed so much, especially at our Davis family reunions.  I love this first picture because it not only shows how loving she was but also shows her beautiful nails that she always had done. When I was younger I loved her back scratches/rubs because she would tickle us with her long fingernails. When I was five or six years old I was the flower girl at her and my Uncle Mark's wedding. She was always so funny, spunky, and loving.  We love you and miss you Aunt Linda!!

Merry Christmas

We decided to make a quick trip to Idaho on Christmas Eve. We first went to Rigby and visited family for a few hours. Then we went to a trampoline park called iJump in Idaho Falles that the kids love! The kids loved it because there were not many people there. After that we ate dinner at Red Robin and then headed back to Afton. We got back around 7:00 with just enough time to open our Christmas jammies, read the nativity story, and put out our stocking and cookies for Santa.

Christmas morning we woke up around 6:00 to find lots of great gifts that good ole' St. Nick left for us.
We spent the day eating yummy food, napping, sledding behind the 4-wheeler, and playing with our toys.  Zach woke up sick Christmas morning and Cody the next day so unfortunately most of the family ended up sick for the majority of our Christmas break. We sure have had a rough winter with sickness in our family. Hopefully the New Year brings health and happiness!

Wedding Bells

My brother Blake married Brittany Young on Dec. 6, 2014 at the Grant LDS church. It was a beautiful ceremony, with Bishop Chad Billman marrying them and a wonderful reception followed. I am so happy for the both of them, they make a great couple and my kids adore their new Aunt Brittany! Congratulations and Best Wishes!! We love you two!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent Thanksgiving day at Grandpa and Grandma Tanner's this year. We missed having the Young's there with us but we still had a full house with lots of fun and plenty of good food to go around.  The kids especially loved the "fancy" glassed that they could drink their very own soda from.
After eating we watched some football, looked through all of the black friday ads and Uncle Blake even gave Tyler a lesson in driving his truck, which is a stick. I even got in on the fun and did pretty good driving it around the pasture.  I am so thankful for my family!!

Happy Birthday Jake!

Jake's 39th birthday was on a Friday, the day before his Grandma Jean's funeral. We spent his birthday in St. George with his parents and Danny. We went to a yummy breakfast complete with a huge cinnamon roll birthday cake, thanks to Gary ordering us one. We then burned off calories by going on a  bike ride to a park "nearby" to let the kids play. Gary seemed to think we needed to burn off a lot of calories! haha! We did a little bit of shopping, went on a "Swig" run for soda and sugar cookies and then we finished off the day with a late showing of one of "The Hunger Games" movies. Jake is such an amazing husband and father to our family. He works hard and plays hard. We love his energy, he definitely keeps me young. Bring on 40!! We love you Jake!!

Goodbye Grandma Jean

Jake's Grandma Emma Jean Crosby passed away on Nov. 18, 2014 in St. George, UT. She was 87 years old and will be greatly missed. We were able to make it to her viewing and funeral in Kanab on Nov. 22nd.  It was good to see first hand how many people loved and cared for Jean. She was an amazing woman.
