Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving at Grandpa Gary and Grandma Jeri's new house in Mapleton, UT. We were able to stay there Wednesday night until Saturday night. All of Jake's siblings were able to be there for the whole weekend too.   The weekend festivities consisted of Easton's blessing, basketball games, board/card games, decorating grandma's christmas tree, black friday shopping, eating yummy food and waxing...thanks to Sunny.

Sunny convinced all of the guys to wax their noses and eyebrows.

Halloween

For Halloween this year we took Indian Jones(Tyler), an Indian(Brooke), a hula girl/ fairy(Kennady) and a dinosaur (Zach) trick or trunking.  Our friends, the Tolmans, also invited us to a party at their house. Once again the kids came home with a TON of candy from the trunk of treat in Fairview. I am thinking that next year I will start taking them door to door around our neighborhood and make them work for their candy like I had to when I was a kid.

Good Bye Fall, Hello Winter

The seasons changing from fall to winter happened very abruptly this year.  October 3rd, Kennady was showing me how she could ride her bike without training wheels and on October 7th we were building snow forts! Gotta love it....or not!!

Elk Hunt

October started off as usual with the elk hunt.  Tyler was so excited to be able to go with Jake and his Uncle Danny.  On opening day they were hunting all day with no success and came home for a rest.  They decided late in the afternoon to go at it again and ended up getting a nice 6 x 6 bull elk just before dark, which meant they had a lot of work ahead of them to do in the dark.  They didn't get home until around 4 a.m. It was a long night for them AND me! Even though I worry most of hunting season I love that Tyler gets to spend this quality time with his dad and uncle.
