First camping trip....in our new trailer!

Ever since our move to Afton, Jake and I have been wanting to get a camping trailer. We love the outdoors and there are so many wonderful places close to home to go camping. We got a trailer a day before Jake was scheduled to work a locumes shift in Cody, Wyoming for a few days. The kids and I ended up going with him and camping at the local KOA in Cody. I had never been camping in a trailer, let alone at a KOA. We had so much fun. Every morning there was free pancakes and every afternoon we went swimming at the pool. There were bicycles that Tyler and Brooke loved riding around while Kennady and Zach played on the playground. There was even a craft time for kids, the list of fun activities goes on and on. We are looking forward to next summer and the many weekends camping that we will enjoy as a family.
After months of leveling dirt, raking rocks and watering we finally got our yard done. Thankfully we have a very generous neighbor who let us borrow their tractor to speed up the process. We are hopeful that this next spring our grass will come in a lot thicker but we are still happy with how it turned out.

Although we were busy putting in our yard this spring/summer, we managed to sneak in a little bit of summer fun with our good friends the Madsens . A couple of times, Jeff and Jake treated us to awesome dutch oven cookouts. We also planned a trip to Park City in August to do a little bit of school shopping and "sight seeing". We shared a two bedroom suite at the Marriott Mountain Side Resort. We went swimming every night, played games, and went on the Alpine slide.
During our cookouts the kids loved playing with the Madsens pet rabbits.

Davis Family Reunion

In July we camped at Indian Springs by American Falls this year for the Davis reunion. It was a nice campground with bathrooms, a pool and playground. The kids had a lot of fun playing with cousins and swimming.
The kids did pretty good at their first egg toss competition.
Tyler was the lucky one chosen to represent the Tanner family in the pie eating contest. He chose a chocolate pudding pie and was such a good sport about it and represented the Tanner clan well.
