It's good to be back to the blogging world! I have not had internet since June and I have a lot of catching up to do, so I figured I would start with Halloween and update later. We had a fun Halloween. On Friday night Jake and I were invited to a couples costume Halloween party. We had fun getting to meet lots of new people and visiting with friends. Both of our competitive sides were evident when we played a version of Fear Factor and Minute to Win It. I didn't contribute much to our 4th place win. I only had to pick marbles out of a bowl(with my hands) full of mill worms and earth worms. Jake on the other hand had to eat a sardine, B-Q flavored mill worms, and a goldfish(because I refused to!) To top it all off he had to lay in a closed coffin , hands tied with worms and crickets dumped in with him and try to be the fastest to get out. Thankfully our prize was a six pack of bottled cream soda(Jake's favorite) to help wash all the worms and fish down! We also won a gift certificate to the movie theater for winning Minute to Win It. I had to fan an egg with a pizza box to a marked spot on the floor and Jake had to be the first to blow cards off of a plastic cup leaving only one on top.
On Saturday we went to the church for a dinner with five families from our ward and then went to a Trunk or Treat. The kids had fun but everyone got really cold towards the end, everyone but Jake the gorilla!
