Merry Christmas

We were able to make a quick trip to Utah the weekend before Christmas to see Grandma and Grandpa, aunts, uncles and cousins. We had a lot of fun. Grandma treated the kids to a Christmas craft, pinata and decorating gingerbread cookies.  We were also able to go to the Parade of lights in Spanish Fork one night. The kids couldn't believe all of the cool Christmas decorations.

Christmas Eve we went out to eat at Pizza Hut for dinner and then came home to get ready for Santa Claus to come.  The kids opened their new pajamas, put out the cookies, milk and carrots with their note to Santa and then we gathered around to hear the Christmas Story of Christ's birth. The kids were all tucked in bed and asleep by 9:30 and we ended waking them up in the morning around 6:30.  After opening presents I made a big breakfast and then let the kids enjoy their presents all afternoon.  Later that day we had are own little Christmas Dinner and then I let the kids help make and decorate sugar cookies. It was such a fun Christmas and I am reminded of my many blessings.

Gymnastics

Kennady and Brooke had their gymnastics "show off" day. It's a day for everyone to bring their parents to see all the things that they have learned so far this year.

Kennday has come such a long way when it comes to the balance beam and the bars.
She is slowly overcoming her fear of heights.

Brooke is so excited to be in the "Pre-team" level of gymnastics.  She is learning a lot more advanced moves and is loving every minute.  She is getting more and more flexible, strong and coordinated every week.  Her favorite so far is the bars and vault.

Jake's Birthday and Thanksgiving

We celebrated Jake's 37th birthday by taking it easy at home.  He was on call for work but we still had fun.  Kennady wrapped up a picture that she had been working on for him in one of our bathroom towels.  She is so cute! Then we celebrated with a pumpkin cheesecake.

Thanksgiving was pretty low key as well since Jake was on call. I made our Thanksgiving meal which turned out pretty good, if I must say.  HaHa.  After cleaning up and having a well deserved nap we took the kids to see "Rise of the Guardians".  When we got home we decorated the Christmas tree.

We went to Kennady's class to watch a little play that they had been working on.
Kennady sure made a cute little pilgrim.

Some misc. pictures

Kennady and Zach are quite the characters! They definitely liven up our house.

Halloween

Instead of going to the Fairview Trunk or Treat we decided to just stick around our neighborhood and have the kiddios treat or treat the good ole' fashioned way, door to door.  Not only did I love it but the kids did too, even though they didn't end up with as much candy.

I had the kids help me make these yummy carmel apples

Dad was a trooper and helped a lot with carving the pumpkins.

Tyler and Brooke couldn't wear costumes to school but they
had fun with crazy hair day and the pumpkin patch contest.

Jake and I went to Kennady's Halloween parade at school. What a cute little kitty!!

Zach and Cooper on the front porch just before we left to go trick or treating.
Zach didn't know what he was in store for but loved every minute, he loves his candy!

My cute kids all ready to go trick or treating.
Tyler's friend, Robert, came along with us.
The girlies trick or treating!
