Cross-Country Skiing

Jake discovered that the sport shop here rents all sizes of cross-country skis for a really reasonable price. After school he took Tyler and Brooke out to see how they would do and if they would like it. They all loved it. Kennady and I had fun watching them from the sidelines. I would have loved to join in on the fun if I wasn't so pregnant and clumbsy.

Pine Wood Derby

Tyler went to his first pine wood derby race. Jake helped him with his car and he wasn't quite sure how it would do in the race. Before we left for the race we tried to prepare Tyler for disappointment if his car didn't go very fast. Tyler and Jake were surprised when their car kept getting first place in the majority of the races. It was fun to watch Tyler's face light up with excitement and pride when his car would win. No prizes/trophies were handed out at the end but each boy did get a stand to display their cars. Good job Tyler and Jake!!
